Mr Jack Sim

Jack Sim, Singapore

Mr. Jack Sim is the founder of the Restroom Association of Singapore, the World Toilet Organization, the World Toilet Day initiative and Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP) Hub. Formerly from the construction industry, he decided to devote the rest of his life to social work after attaining financial independence at the age of 40.

In 2001, for "creating goodwill and bringing the subject into the open" and "mobilising global support in providing on-the-ground expertise" he received the Schwab Foundation award for Social Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2007, Mr. Jack Sim was elected a Fellow of Ashoka: Innovators for the Public, and also became one of the key members to convene the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance which is composed of key players in the sanitation space.

Mr. Jack Sim was named one of the Heroes of the Environment for 2008 by Time magazine, Reader’s Digest Magazine named him Asian of the Year in 2011, Channel News Asia named him Asian of the Year for 2009 and World Economic Forum appointed him to Global Agenda Council for Water Security and the GAC for Social Entrepreneurship.

Mei Lin Fung, USA

Ms. Mei Lin Fung Co-founded People-Centered Internet along with Vint Cerf, one of the “Fathers of the Internet”, with aim of putting humanity at the centre of the Internet. Ms. Mei Lin Fung co-designed the first CRM system at Oracle where she was a pioneer of the billion dollar industry "Customer Relationship Management". She served as Socio-Technical lead for the US Dept. of Defence’s initiative on the Future of Health and is a member of the Digital Economy and Society World Future Council of the World Economic Forum. She serves as vice chair of the Internet Inclusion IEEE sub-committee, one of 3 tracks under the IEEE Internet Initiative. On the core team for Digital Economics at the World Economic Forum, she is a member of the WEF's Global Future Council for Digital Economy and Society and serves on the Steering Committee for Internet for All.

Ms. Mei Lin studied Finance at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School, under future Nobel Economics winners Franco Modigliani and Robert Merton. In 2006, she was appointed to the board of the National University of Singapore America Foundation. She co-founded and chairs the Institute of Service Organization Excellence in Silicon Valley. She also works with the US Department of Defence as Socio-Technical Lead on Health Futures, leading the setup of Wellness Coaching as a US Dept. of Labor Registered Apprenticeship overseen by the DoD, VA, and leadership of Community Health Breakthrough Collaborative within Dept. of Health & Human Services.

Mariko Asmara Yoshihara, Indonesia

Ms. Mariko Asmara is the Chairman of JAC Recruitment Indonesia, a NGO Activist and one of the most active Angel Investors in Indonesia having supported 13 global impact companies. She is a woman on a mission to make ZERO poverty and ELIMINATE low education levels in Indonesia and has co-founded Sato Kogyo Indonesia and Ango Ventures. She believes everyone has a right to good education in order to grow and create impact. She specialises in creating new business and recruiting CEOs for clients. She has also funded 3 schools and supporting many other schools for unprivileged children.

Ms. Mariko Asmara built JAC Recruitment in Indonesia from scratch to an enterprise with Rp. 130 Million paid capital she is a major shareholder of its parent company which is a global recruitment firm headquartered in Japan. She has extensive entrepreneurial experience and is on the board of several Japanese / Indonesian firms. She is actively involved in various social organisations in the capacity of Chairperson.

Prof. Moni Madaswamy, India

Prof. M. Moni is a well Known Senior Technocrat in the field of Informatics and e-Governance in the Country, having more than 35 years of experience, and his publications have generated academic and research interests in the areas of regional development, agricultural development and informatics development. He was the former Director General of National Informatics Centre, Government of India.

Prof. Moni is the Recipient of Seva Ratna Award 2004 (The Centenarian Trust, Chennai) and Bhoogol Bhushan Award 2006 (The Deccan Geographical Society India, Pune) for ICT for Agricultural development (ICT4Ag) in India, and also nominated to the Technology Museum Award, USA 2004 and 2005 for visualising and operationalising the AGMARKNET Project in India.

Prof. M. Moni is, at present, Advisor (IT) in Delhi Development Authority (DDA), New Delhi; Chief Advisor (IT), Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare (Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India); and Chairman, ICFA Working Group on ICT in Food and Agriculture, New Delhi; He is also Chairman (Designate), Working Group on BRICS BioMed Informatics Network, New Delhi.

Prof. M. Moni is Professor Emeritus and Chairman, Centre for Agricultural informatics and e-Governance Research Studies (CARIS), Shobhit University Meerut. He is instrumental in launching M. Tech / B. Tech in Agricultural Informatics Courses from the University.

Prof. M. Moni is the Group Leader for drafting the Volume-12A titled “Digital Technology in Agriculture” of the Volume 12 “Science & Technology for Doubling Farmers’ Income” and Volume XI “Empowering the Farmers through Extension: Knowledge and Science & Technology”, of the Doubling Farmers’ Income by 2022 Committee Report, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India.
